Box Babelutten
The butter sweets (babblers) were a traditional candy on the Belgian coast. They were made by the fishermen's wives, with butter polders. A woman from Heist (Mother Babelutte, 1841-1912) commercialize the candy and sold it to the French-speaking elite swimmers. The name "babblers" was Frenchified into "babelutte", and the woman was called la mère Babelutte.
